Ireland’s most unique Rugby Festival is held every August for the last 6 years in Mallow RFC, and this year in our new and bigger venue of Mallow Town Park.
The event is expected to attract in excess of 400 people to the venue, with over 20 participating teams. We are also pleased to announce that rugby Legend Mick Galwey will be our Event Patron for the day.
The event started with 8 teams in 2014, had 10 teams last year from Dublin,Cork and Mallow. The festival brings a large number of visitors to the Club for the weekend and it is always a great success. Since it's inception, we’ve had more than 800 participants and we’re delighted to be a permanent fixture on Mallows sporting calendar.
This year we are pleased to announce our title sponsors are The Hibernian Hotel and Tria Oil.
The development of inclusiveness in sports is an integral part of the Mallow RFC and events such as the Tag Festival enabling us to showcase the proud sporting tradition of Mallow to a wider audience. Sporting festivals like the Mallow Tag Festival are a great way of bringing people of all abilities together in sport.
